After earning the title of fastest emcee in the world in 1992, Carl Terrell Mitchell, otherwise known as Twista soon became a worldwide success as a professional rapper. He was one of the first artists to sign with Loud Records, and released his single runnin’ Off at Da Mouth; unfortunately, this album achieved little success and he had to wait until the release of Adrenaline Rush in 1997 to experience mainstream success and recognition for his works. He later released two compilation albums in the late 1990s, and now has his own weekly column in the Chicago Tribune publication RedEye.
