A country and bluegrass singer, songwriter, session musician, producer, arranger and bandleader, Ricky Skaggs has several music talents. He plays a variety of instruments including the mandolin , guitar, fiddle, and banjo. At the young age of 7, he appeared on the Martha White country music variety show, working with Earl Scruggs and Lester Flats. Later years in his musical career lead him to move to Nashville and sign with Epic Records, and he joined the Grand Ole Oprey by 1982.
