Jonathan Davis took the stage name Q-Tip to launch his hip-hop and rap career, and lead the band A Tribe Called Quest. His name stands for Queens, New York, and has worked with several talented hip hop and R&B artists throughout his career. A Tribe Called Quest enjoyed considerable success in the early ‘90s, but then disbanded in 1998, at which point Q-Tip moved on to pursue a solo career. He has also appeared in films including Brown Sugar and Prison Song. Famous songs include Vivrant Thing, Work it Out, and Like That with the Black Eyed Peas.
