As an American rock band that formed in San Francisco, California in 1973, Journey enjoyed commercial success in the late 1970s for hit songs including Don’t Stop Believing, Faithfully, and Wheel in the Sky. The parent band Santana was led by the works of Gregg Rolie and Steve Perry, and Journey went through a tumultuous series of successes and failures through the 1980s and 1990s. The band is best known for producing music in the rock, hard rock, and progressive rock genres. Journey was at the height of popularity from 1981 – 1983, releasing top ten hits such as Who’s Crying Now and Faithfully.
