Jo Dee Messina- My Give A Damn's Busted

Jo Dee Messina’s country music career is littered with hits. One of the biggest to date is “My Give-a-Damn’s Busted.” The song was originally penned by songwriter Joe Diffie and was released by him in 2001. However, it never became a single until it was covered by Messina on her 2005 album, Delicious Surprise. Messina’s version is changed a bit so that it could be sung from a woman’s point of view rather than a man’s. Her voice and attitude made all the difference; “My Give a Damn’s Busted” spent two weeks atop Billboard’s Hot Country Singles Chart.
