Formed in 1977, the British heavy metal band Def Leppard joined the New Wave of British Heavy Metal to become one of the top-selling bands in the 80s. Their hard rock and heavy metal fusion music earned them worldwide recognition early in their career, and the band has since sold over 65 million albums around the globe. Def Leppard’s debut album was On Through the Night and this album made it to the Top 15 charts in the UK. However, their biggest success was after the release of the album Hysteria in 1987, with songs Pour Some Sugar On Me and Love Bites hitting the top charts in both the UK and the US.
